We are writing to invite your submission of abstracts to the Conference on Age-Friendly Digital Society: Overcoming Challenges in Technology Adoption among Older Adults, proudly co-hosted by the Department of Psychology, CUHK Jockey Club Institute of Ageing; Stanley Ho Big Data Decision Analytics Research Centre of the Chinese University of Hong Kong on 5th and 6th January 2024.
* This conference is part of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Faculty of Social Science as well as the United College Conference Sponsorship Grant Scheme 2023-2024.
With this in mind, we hereby invite abstracts including, but not limited to, the following sub-themes:
- Bridging the Digital Divide:
o Individual and societal factors underlying the digital divide.
o Innovative strategies and approaches to reduce the digital divide and enhance digital literacy among older adults.
- Designing Age-Friendly Technologies:
o User-centered designs and adaptations of technology interfaces and interactions to cater to the needs of older adults
o Assistive technologies for promoting independence, health, and well-being in older populations.
- Building an Age-Friendly Community:
o The role of digital technologies in promoting social inclusion, community engagement, intergenerational connections, and lifelong learning among older adults.
o Successful projects and case studies in building an age-friendly digital community.
Abstracts should be submitted as text within our submission portal and should not exceed 300 words.
Please note that only original research and previously unpublished work will be considered. Also, abstracts must be written in English.
